OCIA (Adult Sacramental Prep)

The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults  ("OCIA" formerly called "RCIA") is the process of welcoming new members to the Catholic faith and welcoming into full communion those who may have received Sacraments in another faith. Any adult is welcome to explore what it means to be Catholic and to prepare for the reception of the Sacraments of Baptism, First Reconciliation and First Eucharist and Confirmation.

Ordinarily, OCIA begins each September and continues through the Easter season, but the process may be adjusted depending on personal circumstances. Please call the Church Office (504-737-4537) to set up and appoint to discuss taking this next step in your faith journey.
